The issues around saturation and cannibalism are interesting - In larger communities like Chicago, LA, SF, New York, we see more fragmentation in the community with coworking spaces starting to specialize.  In smaller communities, there are often only one or two spaces.  These smaller communities get the benefit of more diversity which I think creates a stronger community.

In Madison, we&#039;re focusing on creating a &quot;Coworking Foundation&quot; to insure that the interests of the community are met, regardless of how many spaces open.</description>

Why would I want to go to Detroit to buy the same thing I can buy 20 miles closer to my house?
But, to go to Pewabic Pottery, for example, I will happily drive the drive....just like I will to visit Chicago or Leelanau. There is the draw to be in those places for those reasons that they are unique unto themselves.
